Things clinics ask us most.
Does the professional see these fees?
No. Professionals see only the hourly rate you're paying them. Platform fees are between you and Facioneer — invisible on their side. This protects rate negotiations and keeps the pro's take-home transparent.
How is my rate calculated?
Pay-As-You-Go is $49/shift. Clinic Pro and Founding Clinic are $29/shift. DSO Suite is $499/month base + a custom per-shift rate negotiated for your operation. Protection coverage is bundled into the platform fee — one number on your invoice, no separate line item.
Why is there a 3-hour minimum?
Alberta's Employment Standards rules on hours of work require employers to compensate workers for a minimum of 3 hours when called in for a shift. For this reason, shifts cannot be posted for less than 3 hours. Shifts of 3–4 hours are billed at the minimum per-shift rate ($35 PAYG · $29 Clinic Pro/Founding). Shifts over 4 hours are billed at the regular per-shift rate.
Is Clinic Pro available now?
Yes. Clinic Pro is available at $99/month or $990/year (~$82.50/month — 2 months free). It pays for itself at 5 shifts per month — below that, Pay-As-You-Go is cheaper. You can upgrade from your billing settings at any time.
What happens if a shift is cancelled?
Professional cancels (<24h): No platform fee charged to you. Priority Shift Guarantee activates immediately — we source a replacement from the available pool. If no replacement is found before shift start, your account is credited the full platform fee minus Stripe processing costs. You are never out of pocket for a pro-side cancellation.
You cancel (<24h of shift): 50% platform fee applies — charged to card on file. This compensates the professional for reserved time and covers matching costs already incurred.
You cancel after the professional has departed: Full platform fee applies. The professional has committed travel and time; this fee flows directly to them.

Can I cancel my subscription?
Monthly billing: Cancel anytime. A pro-rata refund of (days remaining ÷ 30) × monthly fee, minus a $29 early-termination fee, is issued on cancellation.
Annual billing: Annual subscriptions are non-refundable. You can cancel auto-renewal anytime before your renewal date through account settings — your access and rate continue until the end of the paid billing year. No partial refunds are issued for unused months.
Exception: If Facioneer materially reduces the features included in your plan during your billing year, a pro-rata refund is available within 30 days of the change.
Does Facioneer charge extra for Expedited or Priority shifts?
No. Facioneer's platform fee ($49 PAYG or $29 Clinic Pro/Founding) is the same regardless of urgency tier. You may choose to offer an urgency premium directly to the professional — the pro receives 100% of any premium you offer. Facioneer takes no fee on the premium. Whether to offer a premium is your decision based on how urgently you need to fill the shift.
What is the Founding Clinic program?
The first 25 clinics to complete a paid shift on the platform lock in $29/shift and $0/month for the lifetime of their account — no subscription required. In exchange: a monthly 30-minute feedback call for the first 6 months, a written testimonial, and one clinic referral. Spots are allocated by first completed paid shift date (not signup).
